Your Questions About Mental Health News Articles

Daniel asks…
Is it bad that I wonder how many people killed?
themselves through yahoo? as in questions like ” Would 50 grams of _____ kill me?” Suicide questions are repetitive in the mental health category, so one can only wonder how many have actually killed themselves, are there any news articles about something like this happening?
Eric answers:
Or other people

Donald asks…
How does spending money on personal hygene lessons stimulate the Economy?
“The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) spent $823,200 of economic stimulus funds in 2009 on a study by a UCLA research team to teach uncircumcised African men how to wash their genitals after having sex.”
How exactly did tthis help Stimulate our Economy?

Eric answers:
It was targeted at blacks. Perhaps the Obama administration thinks blacks are incapable of washing their balls and spending $800K is going to fix the problem.
Me thinks it was nothing but a payoff to UCLA “researchers.”

Lisa asks…
Why have judges been ordered to show more mercy on women criminals when deciding sentences?
“Judges have been told to treat female criminals more leniently than men when deciding sentences.
New guidelines declare that women suffer disadvantages and courts should ‘bear these matters in mind’.
The rules say women criminals often have poor mental health or are poorly educated, have not committed violence and have children to look after.”

Eric answers:
Ergh, as a harlequinist, this type of behaviour just annoys me. It seems some people want equal or superior rights in most regards unless they’re being held accountable for something which could mean jail-time.
“Oh no, go lenient on me, I’m only a woman”. Bah!
As a woman myself, I know first hand we can become just as ruthless and crazy as the rest of them. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned etc. Etc.

Charles asks…
anyone who gets sickness benefit worried about the recent news?
i asked a question the other day telling of my fear and panic and depression because of all the news of the welfare reform and benefit cuts by the tory government , george osborne and david cameron.
i explained i was in my early 30s and had been in receipt of sickness benefits virtually all my adult life for SEVERE mental health and psychological problems , and that i had NEVER worked or had a job because of it.
ive been reading even more recently , today, that george osborne has written to ian duncan smith proposing more further cuts to sickness benefits of 2.5 billion and that there is controversy and uproar about it even in the conservative party itself.
im really depressed and panicking about whats going to happen ? a talk show host was saying last night that he hoped the observer news paper article wouldn’t mean that the most vulnerable in society would have there money cut .
one person rang in the show who was in receipt of sickness benefits, was so depressed about the recent george osborne announcements , he was threatening to commit suicide.
im really frightened and insecure about all this myself , its making my depression and anxiety much worse , that i dont think i could handle it myself if they stopped or cut my benefit , its like a lifeline.
anyone have opinion or just know whats going to happen ?
Eric answers:
If you are truly unable to work the you are ok, however if you are able to work then you will be found out and made to work.
