Military Veterans Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Toolkit
Today I found out about a “toolkit” that the military has made available to veterans to help them navigate the resources available to veterans who are in need of mental health services. It is a website dedicated to providing information and resources to simplify finding and accessing the care needed.
In the toolkit, servicemembers can find information explaining Medicare eligibility for wounded servicemembers and an explanation of how Tricare and Medicare work together to reduce a servicemember’s out-of-pocket costs. There are also news releases with the latest information on new programs and changes in care and a link to the Mental Health Resource Center. The Mental Health Resource Center provides confidential access to mental health resources for servicemembers and their loved ones.
You can read the whole story here or you can go straight to the toolkit website here. Please check it out and let me know what you think of it. I am particularly interested in the opinions of military members and families in need of such help!
