Researchers at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research in Portland, Oregon have found that combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a guided Self-Help intervention was more effective at curbing binge-eating than CBT alone.

The Spanish Parliament battles the spread of eating disorders in the country by passing a law that bans TV ads that could promote a distorted body image from airing during prime time. This includes beauty products and other kinds of treatment aimed at helping women achieve a “perfect body.”
