It also have more benefits compared to paper assessments, as patients are more eager to use internet assessments due to easiness of use and it avoids the clutter of paperwork.

A new study found that employees diagnosed with depression but undergoing treatment are often more productive compared to those who aren’t treated, according to the study from the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

A retrospective study involving more than 33,000 elderly patients showed that all antipsychotics do carry some mortality risk, and this risk depends on the type of the medication.
Antipsychotics are medications designed primarily to manage psychotic symptoms of medical conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar and delusional disorders. They are also used as ‘off-label’ medications for depression, mood disorders, Tourette syndrome and dementia among elderly patients.

A recently released study revealed that cases of suicide continue to rise, from 2005 to 2007. The study involved the entire active U.S military population, which numbered 2,064,183 in 2005 and 1,981,810 in 2007. Suicide rates for all services increased, and it actually exceeded the numbers of soldiers killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan.
